Big Rush Luck
Big Rush Luck is one of those games that looks trivial in a screenshot and then quietly eats your commute. You guide a little character down an endless track while a meter along the top swings back and forth, and every action — jumping, dashing, sliding — only fires cleanly if you catch the meter in its sweet spot. Mistime it and you stumble but don't die; miss badly enough and the run ends. It's a rhythm game hiding inside a runner.
Control is pure one-thumb. You tap to act and the timing is everything, so the whole game becomes this tense little dance between wanting to go fast and needing to go accurate. What surprised me is how readable it stays even at high speed — the meter is big, the colors are clear, and you can feel your reflexes sharpening over a session. The difficulty ramps gently, and short runs mean you never resent a mistake for long.
After a week of playing it in queues and on trains, the thing that kept me coming back was the pace of improvement. Early runs I'd panic-tap and flame out; later I was chaining perfect hits and grinning at my phone like an idiot. It's not deep, but it's honest about what it is, and it respects your time.
