Ashfall Wanderers

Ashfall Wanderers is the rare mobile RPG that doesn't feel like it wants your attention every ten seconds. You lead a small band of survivors across a muted, ash-covered map, recruiting odd companions and fighting turn-based skirmishes that reward planning over reflexes. There's no stamina timer nagging you to come back — you play when you want, and the story waits.

Combat is where it shines. Positioning matters, elemental interactions matter, and every character has a personality that leaks into how their abilities work. I lost a fight I should have won because I got attached to a healer and refused to sacrifice her, and honestly that's the kind of decision a good RPG makes you feel.

The writing is understated and a little melancholy, which fits the world. It's a slow burn, and it won't grab everyone, but if you like RPGs that trust you to sit with them, this one earns its place on your home screen.
